YOUR CARE TEAM
All staff at Lauren Court complete a full induction programme, are qualified or registered with NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care. Fundamental to their role is the active promotion of the dignity and well-being of each individual resident and many are Registered Dignity Champions. We continually ensure that staffing levels reflect the needs of residents in our care. In particular, that we have the appropriate number and skill mix of staff throughout the day and night including weekends and public holidays.
Care Centre Manager - Julie Jagne
Julie is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Care Centre. As your Manager, Julie operates an ‘open door’ policy and would be pleased to help you with any questions, queries or complaints regarding any aspect of your care at Lauren Court.
Julie’s Deputy works alongside staff to ensure standards are maintained as well as providing guidance, training and support to staff throughout the care centre.
The Manager and Deputy are supported by Senior Carers who are responsible for care provision under the guidance and instruction of Julie. The Senior Carer ensures standards are maintained in line with regulations, as well as supervising and training the care team. Senior Carers wear gold uniforms with navy trousers.
The Care Staff
Care staff deliver personal care to residents under the guidance of our Senior Staff. Care staff wear navy uniforms.
Activities may be carried out with an individual or on a group basis and are designed to provide mental and physical stimulation for our residents. The activities programme is discussed and agreed with residents on a regular basis.
All our food is freshly prepared on the premises. We have full trace-ability on the source of our food products. Our cook and his/her staff provide catering for all our residents as well as ensuring all the kitchen complies with all Environmental Health Regulations. Our catering staff are able to provide special diets if required. Please discuss any dietary needs you may have with the Care Centre Manager or cook prior to admission.
Domestic staff are responsible for ensuring all areas of the Care Centre are clean and tidy. They are also responsible for laundry.
In addition to a General Assistant all our Care Centres have a contract in place for grounds and property maintenance. This ensures that our facilities are kept safe and faults are attended to as quickly as possible. If you have any concerns regarding the maintenance of Lauren Court, please speak with the Care Centre Manager.
