We have been commended for the 'grown our own' approach which involves significant support for employees who wish to progress up the career ladder. We have designed and improved internal training programmes over the years and now have three distinct programmes: Senior in Training; Deputy in Training and Manager in Training. These enable staff to learn progressively and to take advantage of job opportunities as they arise. It has meant that many of our current deputies and managers have worked their way up through the programme from being a carer.
