That's why we feel training and staff development is important: from our thorough induction programme, which starts on day one, through to ongoing training - both statutory and complementary - and support to help you gain professional qualifications.
Whilst we seek to recruit staff with previous experience and qualifications, we also recognise the special talents that some unqualified staff bring to our care facilities. We therefore welcome applications from individuals with little or no previous care experience as we will provide full and detailed training right from day one.
Meridian actively promotes real career opportunities for our staff. Indeed, many of our management team and current Care Centre Managers started life within our Care Centres at Care Assistant level. Through supporting these special staff, we have developed a highly dedicated and professional team.
Our staff are rightly proud of the services we provide to older people and we are not alone in feeling good about what we do. The awards and accolades given to both individuals and Care Centres, recognise quality and excellence of care at every level. This is also borne out by the results of our Care Centre inspection reports, carried out by the Care Quality Commission.
